It was only a matter of time when Microsoft officially ceased production of Xbox 360 HD DVD -but it took them a few days longer than we expected. Their statement, at last, and it signals Microsoft's formal withdrawal from the HD DVD on the front console. The good news is that they will still continue to support and repair player on the basis of the standard guarantees, but chances are you will receive little further use of that player now that there will be no movies for it
