Things to do with HD DVD Player

The war of formats is finally over. Blu-ray has won, I think everybody is aware of it. We can put a cross on HD DVD. And on the format and the HD DVD player. Guys from Engadget already making up 10 ways to get rid of unwanted player. It doesn make sense to put it all here, but there are a few pearls.

What to do with the HD DVD Player:

  • Send by mail to the office of Howard Stringer as a protest against the victory of Blu-ray
  • Directly connect to the power outlet… "Ooops, honey, it appears that we will have to buy a Blu-ray player"
  • Buy a Blu-ray player, put in its box an old HD DVD player and try to return as a "bad product"
  • Insert disc in the Blu-ray tray and start calling in to Toshiba, complaining about the failure.
  • Leave one in a room alone with a weapon for ritual suicide. Let it die with honor.
  • Continue, as now, to use it to play conventional DVD disks. As it is only used now.
